2018: Community Postcards, Norfolk Libraries Service

This summer I’ll be leading ‘Community Postcards’, a project in partnership with Norfolk County Council’s Library Service. There will be drop-in children’s postcard art making sessions, plus postcard reminiscence sessions for local isolated older adults.

Postcard art making sessions for children aged 8-11 will be hosted at Great Yarmouth Library, Tolhouse Street, Great Yarmouth NR30 2SH from 10am to 12pm on:

  • Friday 27th July: Great Yarmouth landmarks (Norfolk day)
  • Tuesday 31st July: Seaside fun
  • Friday 3rd August: Spirit of summer
  • Monday 20th August: Food glorious food (still life set-up!)
  • Friday 24th August: Seaside fun
  • Tuesday 28th August: Growing gardens (still life set-up!)
  • Friday 31st August: Animals, birds and insects
  • Monday 3rd September: Food glorious food (still life set-up!)

There will be a range of resources available which will inspire creative postcard art making. The ‘still life set-up’ sessions will be extra inspiring, as I’ll be creating interesting displays for the workshops!

All the workshops are free with thanks to the generous support from Norfolk County Council and Enjoy Great Yarmouth.
