On 27th November at 11am-1pm and 2pm-4pm, I’ll be co-leading a presentation and talk with Kaitlin Ferguson, themed around ‘Participation & Collaboration: Whose Workshop is it anyway?’
The Magic Acorns network meeting is hosted in partnership with originalprojects;. It is a chance to come together in an online space and consider participation and collaboration in early years community arts and education
Kaitlin and I will lead an interactive workshop and presentation, sharing examples of their own arts practice of creating authentic and playful spaces for early years. They will offer up provocations on shifting power, building trust and working in these uncertain times. Both artists respond to environments and their workshop will guide participants through creative activities which explore the ‘soft presence’ of the artist
There will also be break-out rooms to enable conversation in smaller groups around the topic of participation and collaboration; asking what can it look like in early years, sharing experiences and perspectives and asking workshop is it anyway?
